Gift Wrapping Volunteer Event
December 14, 2019
Today we came to The Family Resource Center here in Little Havana. Where we worked hand and hand with Mount Sinai Medical Center in packing hundreds or toys for the kids in the center. Our members had an awesome time and thank you to everyone who came out.
NHS Movie Night

Today marks the date of one of the biggest movie night in Mater Academy East's history. We had an amazing turn out and ended raising more than enough for our chapter dues. Thank you to everybody who came out and helped us raise money for our club!
Breast Cancer Walk

Today we participated in the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk. Where our members had an awesome time fighting the fight against Breast Cancer. Thank you to every member that came out!
NHS Member Applications

CONGRATULATIONS!!! All of these amazing students got accepted in Mater Academy NHS. They will now have their interviews for admission on January 22nd, 2020.
Out of the Darkness Walk

Today we participated in the Out of Darkness Walk to fight against suicide and the stigma around mental illnesses. Our members had an awesome time taking part in the activities. Thank you everyone who came out!
Bahamas Relief Drive

As you all know a Hurricane, Dorian, hit the Bahamas and cause major damage. Many people lost everything they had. So our President and Vice President wanted to do something to help to the unfortunate people in the Bahamas. They put together a Bahamas Relief Drive which was then recognized by Mayor Rhonda Rodriguez.
Miami Beach Botanical Garden
Summer 2019
Our lovely President, Vice President, and Future Member volunteered at The Miami Beach Botanical Garden there entire summer. They helped weed, plant, compost, and help with any events they had going on. They had an awesome time volunteering and enjoyed everyday. Its so important to learn about your Earth and the proper ways to help protect it.
Vizcaya Museum & Garden

Our current President organized a Earth Day clean up at the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. We had an awesome time landscaping, weeding, and exploring the grounds. Thank you to all the dedicated volunteers who came out early this morning to help with today's clean up.
Pride Parade 2019

Our officers organized a meet up at the Miami Beach Pride Parade and ended up walking in the parade with Nova Southeastern University. This was an awesome experience and they definitely showed they're support for the LGBT Community!
